(Wood Fungus is said to have properties of cleansing the arteries & getting rid of stale blood - the lochia)
1 small bunch of Garlic Stems ("Kow Choi Fa")
a few dried Wood Fungus
50g Beef
2 slices Ginger
2 Tbsp Carrot, finely shredded
1 tsp Chinese Rice Wine
Seasoning:
2tsp light soy sauce, ¼ tsp sugar, ½ tsp cornflour, dash of sesame oil, dash of pepper.
Sauce:
1/3 tsp salt, ¼ tsp sugar, ½ tsp cornflour, few drops of sesame oil, 1 tsp light soy, 2 tbsp water.
Wash & Cut the garlic stems into 3cm strips. Gently fry with oil & dish up.
Soak, wash & shred Wood Fungus. Parboil, drain & set aside.
Cut Beef into strips, marinate with seasoning for 15mins. Saute in warm oil, dish up.
Heat Oil, saute ginger, wood fungus, and carrots. Add beef & garlic stem. Add wine, stir in sauce. Fry/Mix well. Then dish up & serve.
