Mee Hoon fish soup

Cooked mee hoon fish soup with Homemade fish stock
Yummy... added in grouper fish, tou foo, tomato, veg and some bee hoon
very satisfy :) alots of work but definately worth it..

Fish stock

Last year... i made clear fish stock
Today i decided to make another batch for dinner... it turned milky in colour.. NO i didn't add in milk.. dat is definately not my kind of soup with milk added in.. i find it spoilt the taste...  which i knew many ppl add dat to get the milky colour.. esp those outside selling fishhead bee hoon/fish soup...

In order to get  milky colour.. i didn't touched it after it start to boil and i covered the lit and leave it to boil under middle flame for an hr.. it naturally became this colour..

Happy 1st Anniversary

1yr ago.. we are both preparing for our wedding.. in a blink.. 1yr had juz reached the bell and we are blessed with a surprise that wasn't planned... in a few months time.. we both be going to enter the next stage of our life with a lil bunny :)
Didn't really planned for any big celebration.. too much partying recently made us lazy to use our "light bulbs" to tink and move out of our comfort zone...
A revisit to Ambush @ Jurong point.. during dinner time.. i tink the waitress really tink too highly @ me.. giving us a corner 2 seater space.. EXCUSE me.. u tink am able to squeese into dat miserable corner??? which hardly had any space to walk thru...Yeap though am 6mth preggy but my stomach isn't dat huge yet to show?
I rejected the seat and got another not so miserable but 2 seaters @ a side.. tat is what happened during dinner time :s

Decided to order foods to share again.. i knew i won't be able to finish a portion myself... so we decided on a salad... we both love it.. the portobello was nicely grilled..

Ordered their mini sausage set... not too bad but slightly too salty.. i gave up after eating 3 of it..

The pasta wan't too bad. wasn't too creamy for my liking.. Portion was just nice for us to share...if i didn't request to share... am sure my stomach won't be able to take in everythings.

Ants climbing a tree AKA 蚂蚁上树

Cellophane noodles (also known as Chinese vermicelli, bean threads, bean thread noodles, crystal noodles, or glass noodles) are a type of transparent noodle made from starch (such as mung bean starch, yam, potato starch, cassava or canna starch), and water.
They are generally sold in dried form, boiled to reconstitute, then used in soups, stir fried dishes, or spring rolls. They are called "cellophane noodles" or "glass noodles" because of their appearance when cooked, resembling cellophane, a clear material or a translucent light gray or brownish-gray color.
Cellophane noodles are generally round, and are available in various thicknesses. Wide, flat cellophane noodle sheets called mung bean sheets are also produced in China.
Cellophane noodles should not be confused with rice vermicelli, which are made from rice and are white in color rather than clear (after cooking in water).

Ants climbing up a tree is a common dish in taiwan.. missed it badly so decided to cook my own version today.. yummy.. though not 100% alike but @ least my crave is fixed. Why it had this name? The minced meat = the "ants" they said it look like ants climbing up onto the noodles... so that is how the name come from..
