Steam meat

Been a super long time since i cooked this 鸳鸯粉丝
The 1st time i tried it is in 2009 after watching buzzing cashier show... the chef from grand hyatt taught this dish to a guy who wanted to save his business but he failed to do so.. he failed the given requirement from the show... so means.. cannot get to eat it... and i wanted to try it so badly.. so tried my own version using some of his idea.... and its really nice... this is my 3rd trial on this dish... *smile*

Bread
This is the 3rd time this year that i tried making bread... 1st time was alight but Mr. sim said its not fluffy enough 2nd time was a disaster cause its totally not the kind we are expecting though its look good and tasted alrite...
Woke up early today and decided to try my luck again since the weather is really good today .. meaning my proofing time and factor might have some luck..
Doesn't want to make too much since its only the 2 of us AND if failed again... we don't have to waste the bread and meaning i don't have to knead till i want to surrender...
GF asked me to invest in good breadflour like japanese bread flour BUT i doesn't want to pay more then $10 on a pack of flour when i can't even get the texture right... *meow* *meow* haha what is the point when i can't even master the right texture... waste of $$$ if i have to feed it to the rubbish bin, isn't it...
Finally after waiting and waiting... its time to bake it....i managed to have 6 pieces of 43g each...
topped with ham & cheese.. i rolled a piece of ham in between it as well.... look kind of small BUT it puff up in the oven... i should have make it smaller.. like mini ones...hehe.. the original HUGE bread... -_-" Out from the oven... i had a shock!!!!! its as hard as stone... heart sank to the bottom.. meaning i failed again????? sigh try my luck to let it cool down before i sentence it to death...
Finishing my work.. i went to touch it again... WOW its softer.. meaning it got some HOPE!
2 for ME.... 4 for Mr. sim to bring to work... *smile*
Its more Q-Q and will boounced back
it look more presentable now
it look more presentable now
Mmmmmmm but i know alots more to improve
Hopefully this can satisfied 我们家的沈老爷。。。。
update: 1st day, its really soft and fluffy... 2nd day, it doesn't remain that soft though i kept it in air tight box. Mmmm could it really be the flour issue? will try again

Food blogger who demands free meal sparks outrage online
Was surfing online then saw this news in YAHOO
WOW.. really wordless after reading the whole article... being a food blogger means you can just make an appt/walk into a rest to eat happily.. bring people along when you wasn't invited to there to do any review or food tasting...
really bring bad names to those who really enjoy foods and sharing their reviews...

A young food blogger who demanded that he and his three companions be given free meals at an upscale restaurant in the Joo Chiat area has sparked a huge furore online.
The group of four had walked into Private Affairs, a small but exclusive eatery in Joo Chiat, for its Sunday champagne brunch promotion that costs S$68++ per person.
The blogger in question, Brad Lau, who runs a food blog called Ladyironchef, had informed the management on Friday that he would be coming down to review the Sunday Brunch promotion.
On the day itself, he and his partner came down at about 130pm, followed by his two other companions, each of whom came down half an hour apart.
The four of them had brunch until 430pm, even when the restaurant’s official brunch hours was from 1130 am to 330pm. Brad and his partner also enjoyed two glasses of champagne each.
When presented with the final bill of $435, the blogger initially refused to pay and repeatedly told the restaurant’s chef, “I never pay for food in any restaurant.”
The restaurant eventually offered to waive off the cost of the meal for him and his partner as well as the cost of the champagne out of goodwill, thus lowering the bill to $159.
Still upset but finally relenting to pay, the blogger then threw his credit card onto the bar counter in front of the cashier before storming out.

Baked Pasta
Bought this pasta sauce seeing it in the supermarket. Sound very nice especially with the mushroom in it...
Abit disappointed. There isn't a single bit of mushroom in it and the taste is overpower. I know this isn't the kind Mr. sim will like. So had to tink of something... as its isn't the usual taste for pasta white sauce. BUT if you serious love mushroom, maybe you will like it.
SO i decided to....
Turned it into baked style instead of just serving it to Mr. sim for dinner.
Verdict: mmm it definately tasted much better with cheese added in to bake with.
