Mee Goreng
Decided to cook mee goreng for dinner... been craving for some nice ones but the one i tried from store bought.. mmm was good BUT not really not kind.. I like mine with less noodles, more ingredients kind..
Sound very family like the advertisement on TV? Till the uncle throw a bag of noodle and ask th fellow to cook it himself... *oppz*
haha yeap Mrs. sim is a super fuzzy pot... i dun like seafoods in it, or i don't like to have so much noodles without much LIAOZ ( ingredients).. i don't like the red colouring or too spicy till the tongue felt OUCHED giving the .. STOP EATING...stop hurting me...
So i decided to cook my own version... yeap and its the 1st time i am cooking this for MR. sim.. my own version...
What i used:
Yellow Noodles $0.50
1 portion of cabbage, $0.60 ( i divided into half)
2 egg
1 fishcake
200g chicken breastmeat
Mix veg
1 tomato
Some garlic
To taste,
my own made chilli paste
some tomato sauce
1tblsp soya sauce

Childhood foods
Was thinking what to cook and while waiting for the bus. I overhead a mummy & son's conversation...
Mummy: So son, what do you want to eat?
Son: Macdonald
Mummy: ok then porridge for lunch ok?
Son: NO I WANT FRENCH FRIES
Mummy: We will have that for dinner ok....
Son: Then what are we having for dinner?
Mummy: Daddy said will bring us to Burger king...
Me: ROLLED EYES @_@
Prehaps when i was young, i am very fortunate...
Mum will cook dinner or lunch
And we only get to eat fastfood like once a month or when they are in a good mood. If not, it be home cooked foods.
Seriously alots of kids depends on fastfoods nowsaday, and we really questioned how much allowances are they given per day/week/month... Everyday, these fastfoods are full of kids after sch hours... or should i said.. its anytime of the day...
Ok stories apart... i am trying to recall what i used to eat @ home...
1. popular soup is 九记菜 kou kee cai, which i taken for granted cause dad will always buy this veg for mum to make soup... i used to hate it and i saw it in the supermarket today... good memories came back.. in order to make us drink it, dad always said ITS good for the EYES... i always had this *always "4 eyes" liao la.. got used mah... hahaha
2. Lup cheong.. just sliced sliced it... add some soya sauce... put it in the rice cooker.. wait for awhile... YUMMY!!!! just this with rice will do... hot piping rice with the dark sauce... with the lup cheong....
3. Tong Cai Rou... this one is Hubby's fav... he loves it with lots of tong cai which i doesn't fancy that much but i will still eat it...
so what's your childhood foods? Think i must cook more childhood foods now.. it really bring back all the memories...
