High Tea @ Goodwood park

Mr sim decided to give Mrs sim a surprise on her birthday and END UP... its really a surprise!!!...

He had been very hardworking finding out reviews on high tea place, cause he been hearing how Mrs sim missed having hightea session ... Pampered Mrs sim always had high tea with friends and ex colleagues in the past.. However after everyone started to settle down.. this kind of pleasure became a ONCE in a blue moon affair.

I am sure there are alots of RAVES on this place. Mr sim said the reviews are all very good. But i do have some complains.

The tags to show what foods they are serving isn't properly stated on the foods, Most of it are stated in one slots and i have to guess which is which, which made me gave up epecially when there is a crowd.

The cakes & pastries are not well chilled. Prehaps its b'coz we went for 2nd seating but still shouldn't it be properly chilled especially the place is open space kind. I doesn't really feel like getting a 2nd serving on the supposed to e chilled cake.

But i must said, i kind of like this place. But definately with another company and not with Mr. sim. Cause he will perfer something else then just eating bread, pastries & cake.

I can't denied this is a good place for gathering to have some snack while catching up. BUT If you don't like english kind of foods, then can give this place a miss.

I kind of like their cakes & pastries which wasn't too heavy and sweet but only issue is what supposed to be chill, isn't. I din managed to take picture if their ice cream but it was a disappointment. Was really happy to see chocolate and vanilla ( using vanilla pods) ice cream but when i tried to take it, its alrdy like way too soft to roll into balls. Kind of gross to see melted ice cream in the container containing it.

Tried their nutella hazelnut cake which seem to be a rave and the japanese cheesecake.. the taste was really rich but only complain is that its not kept chill. And its alrdy too soft when i was taking it from the counter. It just simply lie next to each others when i tried to put it onto the plate.

The mousse was alrdy melting... and it caused a mess on my plate..

Review on the scones:

There are 3 types of scones available today, plain, raisin, blueberries
I took plain & raisin scones ( b'coz i couldn't define which is blueberries scone which alrdy been mess up in some ways by people who took and place it back at the wrong tray) Took some jam, butter & raspberries to go along with it.

The plain ones wasb very light & fluffy, the kind of scones that i love... ( Plain scones, check out the 1st pic) which i posted at the top

I wasn't very impress with the raisin ones.. though it tasted alright with the raspberries i gotten..
