Honestly its until day, i know the english name for these beans are called cranberry bean... since young, i only know we called it 珍珠豆 cause dad told us it look like pearl. Did a search online and realised it had an english name.. Cranberry bean are sweet and nutty and can be used to make a good soup be it using it with ribs or adding in other fruit to make it richer in taste.
I can't resist but to grab some home when i saw these beautiful beans laying around at the vegetable stall that i use to get my veg. I added in some lotus to enhance its favour.
It does tasted like peanut soup due to its nutty taste.
Mr sim gave a SMILE after drinking it... well of cause.... He can't resist "老火汤“ which had been simmer for 3hrs.
